Traditional Christmas in Vojvodina is a holiday that unites generations
In the Carpathians, Christmas sounds different. Here it is not lost among garlands and fuss - on the contrary, it shows its true essence. In the silence of a snow-covered forest, under a clear sky, Christmas returns to us what has been passed down in families for centuries: singing, amulets, a star, that elusive warmth that you cannot buy or invent.
Vojvodina makes this memory alive — right now, in shared evening stories, in children's laughter, in the taste of donuts and kuta.
Christmas Eve in Vojvodino: the quiet magic of December 24
When the first star appears in the sky, families gather in our Kertyk. On the table are 12 traditional Lenten dishes, prepared the way our grandmothers prepared them: with respect, with a thought for every taste and in memory of our ancestors. Candles flicker softly, a carol is played.
The nativity scene takes viewers back many generations. On Christmas Eve, craftsmen join in: they introduce the art of weaving didukhs, straw stars, and amulets. Guests weave their first Christmas decorations, drink Carpathian tea with donuts, and immerse themselves in that rare state when time slows down and the soul calms down.
December 25: Christmas Day - the light that sounds like a song
The next day, the resort is filled with voices again — it’s a choir singing carols. The Star of Bethlehem rises above their heads. Everything is simple and at the same time solemn.
Christmas here is like the breath of the Carpathians — pure, expressive, and alive.
New Year in Carpathian style: December 31 - January 1
Voyevodino welcomes the New Year with live music, dancing, a buffet, and champagne under the stars. Among the entertainment is the "Dance of the Year" competition and a gift raffle, and the style combines classic and ethno - Carpathian chic.
This is an evening that has everything: a festive atmosphere, the drive of a cover band, an exquisite menu from the chef, and a warm community of like-minded people entering the new year together.
Children's New Year's program "Secrets of Molfar"
While the adults celebrate, the children immerse themselves in a fairy tale. In the Art Club, they communicate with the molfar, who jealously protects the magic of the Carpathians. Full-length characters, a bubble and fluffy show, a master class on Carpathian masks, favorite heroes, a pajama party and a cartoon under the blankets - all this turns the day into an incredible adventure.
Each child returns home with their own "Order of Good" — a reminder that goodness lives in every heart.
Christmas spirit
Vojvodina gives what is sometimes lost in a turbulent world: time for family, the warmth of traditions, joy multiplied by all those present. Here, Ukrainian Christmas comes to life in all its glory — not as the past, but as the present, shaping us today.
All winter events and celebrations are part of our "Light of Traditions" concept and are already included in the price of accommodation - so that every day from the beginning of December until February is festive and truly warm.
This is a Christmas you want to take with you. And to which you want to return.
