28 Steps of Development
Schönborn Park
Schönborn Park is the crown jewel of Voevodyno, offering an enchanting experience reminiscent of a classic 19th-century Austrian park. Visitors can enjoy open-air movie screenings, morning yoga classes, and leisurely walks by the lake.
The park features wide avenues, a lake with an island mirroring the borders of Austria-Hungary, traveling stones, the Via Dolorosa, a Celtic garden, and a working water mill.
Recreated in 2013 to celebrate the 285th anniversary of the transfer of Transcarpathian lands to the Schönborn family, it’s a tribute to historical and cultural richness.
Kolyba
The traditional Transcarpathian kolyba, originally a seasonal shelter for shepherds and loggers in the Carpathian mountains, is characterized by its rounded wooden structure with a central fireplace. We’ve honored this heritage by transforming the Kolyba into an ethnic restaurant that offers authentic Transcarpathian cuisine.
Our journey began right here — on the very spot where an old forest hut once stood. When our gazda (master in Transcarpathia) first laid eyes on this historic site, nestled amidst beech forests, mountains, streams, and springs, he envisioned it as the foundation for one of the finest resorts in Ukraine.
Trout Kingdom
In Voevodyno, catching a trout is more than a pastime — it’s a symbol of embracing opportunity.
We cultivate three types of these fish — lake, brown, and rainbow trout. Certain trout species inhabit the rivers of Transcarpathia, known for their selective nature as they thrive only in the purest natural waters. As such, these mountain fish serve as a true ecological indicator of the pristine environment at Voevodyno.
Beyond trout, our ponds also offer the chance to catch carp or sturgeon. Even if you’re not an avid angler, the experience of fishing here is sure to bring you joy and satisfaction.
SPA
A spa is a sanctuary where both body and soul find peace. Here, you can escape the chaos of the world, immersing yourself in tranquility and harmony of mind, body, and spirit. Our skilled estheticians are dedicated to providing top-notch service, ensuring that each moment is filled with care and love.
Capture beautiful eco-selfies by the pool with the majestic Carpathian peaks as your backdrop, or relax on the alpine terrace for sunbathing — creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Restaurant "Holodna Forel"
Transcarpathia isn’t just about great food — it’s a celebration of diverse flavors woven with ethnic traditions. Our region boasts a rich gastronomic heritage, and Voevodyno proudly contributes to this legacy. At our restaurant, The Holden Forel, you’ll find a warm and inviting atmosphere where every guest is greeted with a smile and served delightful dishes.
What sets The Holodna Forel apart? The freshest mountain trout, the queen of our streams, has been thriving in Voevodyno’s ponds for over 25 years, lending its name to our main restaurant. Join us at TheHolodna Forel and savor the culinary expertise of our chefs. Their craft shines in every dish, particularly in our signature Trout with Carpathian Spices — a taste experience you won’t find anywhere else.
Mini-kertyk
Transcarpathian dialect is rich with unique names for just about everything. We call our small greenhouse ”kertyk”, which means ”garden” in the Transcarpathian dialect. Organic food is important for each of us and especially for our children. It is our passion and one of our most important responsibilities to provide our guests with natural and fresh products. Here at ”kertyk”, you can be a real Carpathian farmer and help grow organic vegetables and greens. This unique and relaxing experience is a wonderful opportunity, for the young and old, to create a better connection with the food we eat by caring for it! Most importantly — you will find these vegetables used in our restaurants.
Horse Riding Club
Interested in horseback riding? Our instructors will teach you how to saddle your horse before taking you on an unforgettable experience through the mountains, over the fields and across Voevodyno Resort. Horses are beautiful animals and very in-tune with their feelings. They help us forget all of our worries and can communicate with just a glance. Voevodyno Horse Club has many unique horse breeds, some of which are the Tori stallion, the Hucul, and the Orlov Trotter, along with small ponies.
Tur the Bull
You might be curious about the wild ox, or “tur,” and its connection to Voevodyno.
Historically, the European wild ox, known as the tur, roamed these lands until the mid-19th century. It was a formidable creature, with a muscular body, standing up to 2 meters tall and weighing as much as 800 kg. Although this giant is now extinct, its relatives include the American bison, Hungarian gray cow, and Indian buffalo.
The name of the Turyan Valley and the nearby village of Turya Pasika, located not far from the Voevodyno resort, are believed to be connected to the tur, underscoring its historical impact on the area.
Malyuk Voevodyno Helicopter
In front of you is our small Mi-2 helicopter designed and manufactured in the early 1960's. The Mi-2 helicopter transported people, agricultural products, cargo, and conducted training flights for military purposes. In the 1960s, the Transcarpathian forestry agency used the helicopter to assist with agricultural needs. After an accomplished agricultural career from 1969–1988, the Malyuk Voevodyno helicopter anchored and retired here in Voevodyno Resort.
After completing its service in agriculture between 1969 and 1988, this trusty Baby found its new home in the Voevodyno tract, where it now adds a touch of history to our resort.
Hroza-B Truck
GAZ-51A (Groza-B) — a simple and reliable truck, manufactured from 1955 to 1975. This truck was a key component to the beginning of Voevodyno and holds a tremendous amount of sentimental value as well.. Voevodyno’s Owner received this truck from his father, who at that time worked at a quarry in a nearby village. This truck brought Father and Son together to transport building supplies needed for the first stages of construction of the Resort. Today, our Groza-B is our cherished talisman.
In the early 1990s, Hroza-B played a crucial role in the initial development of the Voevodyno resort.
Today, this truck stands as a cherished symbol and mascot of our resort, embodying the spirit and heritage of our journey.
Voevodyx Horse
Animals that connect with our emotions and offer comfort often have a special, almost spiritual presence. Among them, horses stand out for their nobility and grace. These majestic creatures are not only strong and powerful but also deeply attuned to the feelings of those around them.

Eagle
Free flight defines his vibrant life! Persistence and clarity are the hallmarks of his character. In every aspect of life, he pursues his goals with wisdom and determination. No bird embodies freedom, strength, and courage like the mighty eagle. Spread your wings, soar against the wind, and face the storms without fear! This is the essence of the eagle’s spirit.
The eagle, often hailed as the king of all birds, is known for its protective nature. In much the same way, the team at Voevodyno embodies this quality, reflecting the spirit of this noble bird — meeting challenges head-on, unafraid of life’s difficulties, and driven to achieve the most ambitious goals. For the sake of a great purpose, a free flight, love for our homeland, and protection of our loved ones, we, like the mighty eagle, stand strong and resolute.
Bear
One of the world’s largest predators, the bear is a formidable and majestic inhabitant of the forest. Just a single glance can make you tremble, and its powerful roar sends shivers down your spine.
This legendary creature, often depicted as a fair judge in tales and folklore, is a brave and strong resident of the serene Carpathian forests. We are honored to have this mighty guardian watching over our magical trout farm!
Dog AdmiralAdmiral the Dog
Schönborn Park is under the reliable and watchful eye of our faithful friend, Admiral the dog.
He has a magical ability to transform into a real guard dog while also being a playful companion for our children, who love spending time with him and taking pictures together.
If you’re looking for a loyal friend, Admiral is the perfect candidate. In his eyes, you’ll find understanding and sincerity, a gaze that touches the depths of your soul.
House of ducks
The pure mountain air, crystal-clear spring water, and sense of safety draw more than just people. A few years ago, ducks mysteriously began flocking to our lake from the forest, choosing Voevodyno as their forever home. Here, they’ve found comfort and warmth. As you walk by the lake, you might spot a quaint little house where these ducks now reside. But take note — these aren’t just any ducks. Legend has it that those who can see the beauty in every person may also catch a glimpse of the vibrant colors glowing from the birds’ feathers at night.
Love Bridge
“Love is patient…”
Imagine, long ago, Princess Sisi sitting on a charming little bridge, enjoying a fragrant cup of coffee. She is surrounded by nature, waiting for her Prince Franz. Their love was true, and it has now been immortalized. Our Lovers’ Bridge symbolizes the genuine feelings shared between Sisi and Franz. The prince and princess themselves wished to build this bridge, sealing their love for eternity. Today, this symbol reminds us that true feelings are always mutual, enduring, and patient. All it takes is to cherish them.
Experience the atmosphere of sincere love by visiting the Lovers’ Bridge and immerse yourself in the love story of Sisi and Franz!
Oliver the Turtle
A turtle is a symbol of wealth and longevity, one of the oldest reptiles on Earth who coexisted with dinosaurs. Imagine, the first turtle appeared 220 million years ago!
What is special about our Oliver?
What makes our Oliver special? He has a unique ability to stop time. It might sound unusual, but take a moment to slow down and listen to the wise Oliver. He encourages everyone to cherish the present moment. After all, true longevity isn’t measured by years alone but by how we spend our time. Enjoy every moment here and now.

Voevodyno healing springs
Voevodyno is home to several healing springs, but one stands out as truly special. Known as “Bystryk” among the old foresters, meaning “swift” in Ukrainian, this spring rapidly expanded its reach, providing our resort with an abundance of clean, healthful water. Everyone deserves a taste of the healing energy that even Princess Sisi would admire.
Here, the water is pristine, and the surrounding natural beauty is simply enchanting.

Mini Village
The miniature sculptures of houses in front of Schönborn Park beautifully capture the essence of a Transcarpathian village. Each area features its own unique wooden houses and churches, recreating the cozy atmosphere of a family gathering around the dinner table.
Transcarpathia is a unique region, home to some of the most fascinating ancient wooden churches that reflect the spiritual heritage of the people. The Mini Village tourist attraction is a space where we strive to convey the authenticity and, at times, the mystique of our region.
Jan firefly
One of the unique features of our resort is the mini sculptures of Celts scattered throughout the area. Among them is the John’s Firefly.
According to legend, during the Kupala Night festival, young girls would search for the fern flower, which bloomed only once a year. At midnight, a magical fire-flower would blossom on the fern. It was believed that whoever picked this flower would gain miraculous powers. Fireflies were said to gather around this flower, and in ancient times, they were called John’s Fireflies.
Exhale Bridge
Sighing is a deep breath influenced by our emotions.
Our Bridge of Sighs has become a special place for secret kisses and sometimes quiet tears. Observing its significance, we decided to enhance the bridge’s charm by modernizing it while preserving its old-world appeal.
Now, you can walk beneath the stone arch and share kisses and embraces under the Celtic mistletoe.
At the entrance, you’ll find images of the apostles and evangelists, which will become clearer as you continue towards Schönborn Park. The leprechaun John from Celtic legend watches over this place, keeping track of everyone who meets under the Bridge of Sighs. Those lucky enough might even spot the light of John’s Fireflies, a sign of the strength and authenticity of their love.
Garden of the Invincibles
During the war, Voevodyno became a sanctuary for Ukrainians. On April 22, 2022, International Earth Day, we launched the Plant a Family Tree challenge. Families picked a sapling that was meaningful to them and planted it together.
This project aims to bring families back to Voevodyno with their descendants to show where their family tree has grown.
The Garden of the Invincibles serves as a place of remembrance and a symbol of unity for Ukrainians during tough times.
The Three Apples That Changed the World Square
The Three Apples That Changed the World square is designed in the shape of the All-Seeing Eye, also known as the Radiant Delta — a triangle with an eye inside, symbolizing enlightenment and consciousness.
The three apples represent three significant symbols:
Eve’s Apple: This apple stands for truth, even when it’s difficult. It’s a reminder of the forbidden fruit taken from the Garden of Eden by the serpent. In our garden, you’ll find 24 poisonous and dangerous plants from Transcarpathia, collected for scientific and educational purposes.
Isaac Newton’s Apple: This apple represents science and its role in uncovering the laws of nature. Newton, known for his mystical and almost time-traveling insights, helped us systematically understand the world after leaving Eden.. The path leading from this apple will take you to the Vagash waterfall.
Steve Jobs’ Apple: Symbolizing unstoppable human progress, this apple reflects our ability to continually advance. Nearby, a fork in the road presents a choice between positive and negative paths, emphasizing that progress and creativity always come with decisions.
Wine Cellar
We invite you to explore the 27th step of our resort — the Wine Cellar in Voevodyno!
Nestled among the scenic Carpathian landscapes, this cellar marks the beginning of a winemaking journey.
Although the cellar is still under construction, the laying of the first stone signifies the start of a new era for our resort. It’s here that we hope craft Voevodyno wines will one day be created for our guests.
At Voevodyno, we take pride in our environmentally friendly products cultivated on our own land. Our grapevines, planted on the slopes of Schönborn Park, are still growing, but soon we’ll harvest and craft the fruits of our labor.
Set amidst mountains and mountain streams, our cellar will embody the spirit of the region. Every drop of the future wine will be infused with the Transcarpathian sun and the best of nature.
We believe that this foundational stone will spark new beginnings — a new craft at our resort deeply rooted in the traditions and essence of Transcarpathia.
Didko Farm
On the fertile lands of Zakarpattia, we revive the living heritage of our people. Didko Farm is a place where traditions come alive in every sprout, where vegetables and herbs are grown with love for the land and deep respect for nature. Here, the earth generously shares its gifts, and the future promises even more: a clear well, authentic wooden houses, and the true harmony of rural life.
We invite you to feel the joy of grounding — when bare feet touch the warm soil, and the heart finds peace in simple things. Here, time slows down, and life regains its true flavor.
