Didko Farm
There are places where you just spend time. And there are those where you can touch real life.
Didko Farm in Vojvodino is about exactly such an experience.
It was created by Didko, the owner of Voyevodyno, for his grandchildren. So that they would know where food comes from, understand the value of land, labor, and caring for animals, and be able to see real farming not in a book, but in person.
Today, Didko Farm is open to guests of Voyevodyno — as a place to get acquainted with nature, animals, and the simple things that begin our daily lives.
Excursion to Didko Farm: more than a walk
Visiting a farm is not just an opportunity to see animals or walk around the grounds.
This is a live tour during which guests get to know the farm, its residents, and daily work.
During the tour you can:
- see how vegetables are grown - from seed to harvest;
- get to know the farm inhabitants - sheep, goats and a cow;
- learn more about animal care;
- hear the stories and tales of Didek, the owner of the farm;
- ride a tractor;
- Try on a straw hat and feel like a real farmer for a while.
Such a trip is especially exciting for children. After all, here you can not only listen, but also see, touch, ask and try.
"Farm to Table"
Didko Farm is part of the great story of Vojvodina about the connection with the land and the products we grow ourselves.
The farm grows:
- potato;
- beet;
- zucchini;
- sunflower;
- onion;
- garlic;
- green.
Part of the harvest ends up in the kitchens of Vojvodina and becomes ingredients for dishes in restaurants.
This is how the "farm to table" principle is born - when the path of a product can be traced from the ground to the finished dish.
Guests can see where and how vegetables are grown, and then taste them on their own plate.
Knowledge passed down through generations
At the center of the story of Didko Farm is Didko himself.
He shares knowledge about the land, farming, animals, and simple traditions that have been shaped over generations.
This is not an ordinary excursion or a formal narrative.
This is a lively conversation, with personal stories, interesting facts, and the opportunity to ask any question.
It is these moments that children often remember the most.
A place where children truly learn about the world
Today, children learn about food mainly from store shelves and prepackaged foods.
Things are different on Grandpa's Farm.
Here you can see, how vegetables grow, where the crop comes from, how animals live, and how much care a real farm requires.
And, perhaps, after such an excursion, ordinary potatoes or fresh greens on a plate will never seem like just products again.
Why you should visit Didko Farm
Grandpa Farm is about connection.
Between man and nature.
Between the land and the harvest.
Between what we grow and what later ends up on our table.
Between generations and the knowledge that is passed on.
This is the place where Children learn about the world through their own experiences, and adults remember the value of simple things.
And that is why Didko Farm is not just another location in Vojvodina.
This is a story about Where does it all begin?
