At the beginning, we would like to say that the climate in the Carpathians is mild - winter is usually snowy with moderate frosts, summer is not hot, without arid heat, autumn is mostly dry, and in spring it traditionally rains. That is why it is comfortable for both adults and children to relax here in the warm and cold seasons.

Winter

Since the high season in the Carpathians symbolizes the beginning of skiing, downhill skiing, the weather conditions of winter have been studied by researchers to the smallest detail. December is marked by frosts down to -5 degrees, it snows quite often, a dense snow cover forms, and the forests stand in elegant white outfits. In January, frosts intensify to -15, sunny days prevail. February can spoil the mood with thaws, there is a threat of avalanches, so you need to choose safer ski slopes.

Spring

The beginning of spring is almost the same as February. Ski slopes are still open, but it is better to avoid hiking in the mountains. Acidic trails and streams from under the snow simply make it impossible to climb the mountains. In April and May, the weather stabilizes. Although rain is still possible, the temperature rises, the mountains begin to dress in green. But what is most interesting is that snowfall is still possible and some ski slopes are still open. Renting a hotel during this off-season in the Carpathians will be the cheapest.

Summer

The Carpathians in summer are a great alternative to a vacation by the sea with its hot and humid climate. Summer in the mountains means comfortable 20-25 degrees Celsius, moderate rains, blooming valleys with incredible aromas of herbs, morning fogs in the lowlands, mushrooms and wild berries. These are ideal conditions to hide from the scorching metropolises and forget about the city bustle for a while. Autumn

Traditional autumn in the Carpathians comes a little later than the calendar one. Somewhere from mid-September, the mountains begin to play with gilding and crimson, and the weather can please with both warmth and slight frosts. The forests are flooded with mushroom tourists, the mushroom season begins. October brings the beauty of morning fogs, here they are heavy and fluffy. Periodically, it rains, which in November turn into snow and real winter begins.
