For Transcarpathia, it is not just a change of season. Autumn was traditionally a time of harvest and preparation for winter. What grew in the garden or vegetable garden was dried, cooked, fermented, and stored. The forest also gave its fruits - mushrooms, berries, nuts, and medicinal plants.<\/p>\n

IN Voevodyno<\/a> This story continues today \u2013 only now guests can see it not only in the forest, but also trace the path of the seasonal harvest from the ground to the plate with their own eyes.<\/p>\n

What the Carpathian forest offers in autumn<\/h2>\n

The autumn forest is, first and foremost, a time for mushrooms. After warm days and rains, you can find porcini mushrooms, chanterelles, boletus mushrooms, aspen mushrooms, and honey agarics.<\/p>\n

Rose hips, mountain ash, hawthorn, lingonberries, cranberries, and sometimes hazelnuts with nuts can be found on the edges and clearings. Many of these fruits were traditionally dried and used for homemade teas, jams, compotes, and other preparations.<\/p>\n

Rosehip occupies a special place. Its fruits are rich in vitamin C and other biologically active substances, so it has long been used to prepare winter drinks.<\/p>\n

The autumn forest is the perfect space to take your time. Sometimes the greatest joy is not in filling your basket with mushrooms, but in simply noticing every amazing change in nature.<\/p>\n

Garden in autumn: apples, pears and the scent of summer<\/h2>\n

If the forest gives its gifts without human intervention, then the garden is the result of daily work.<\/p>\n

In late summer and autumn, apples, pears, plums, and grapes ripen. Some of the fruit is eaten fresh, while others are processed into preserves that will remind you of the warmer months of winter.<\/p>\n

In Transcarpathia, lekvar is especially famous \u2013 a thick fruit jam, most often plum. It is traditionally boiled for a long time so that the fruits gradually turn into a thick, rich mass.<\/p>\n

There is something very Transcarpathian about this: nothing superfluous, just ripe fruits, time, and patience.<\/p>\n

And what is harvested in the mountain pastures?<\/h2>\n

By autumn, the season in the meadows is gradually coming to an end. But you can still smell the aromas of herbs that have accumulated the sun and mountain aromas during the summer.<\/p>\n

Thyme, mint, oregano, lemon balm, and other plants were traditionally harvested and dried for homemade teas and aromatic blends.<\/p>\n

But the mountain pasture is not only about plants. Autumn here is associated with the end of summer grazing and the return of flocks to the valleys. It is this rhythm of life that has shaped Carpathian life, cuisine, and traditions for centuries.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the autumn gifts of the Carpathians are not just something you can put in your basket. They are also a whole culture of living close to nature.<\/p>\n

Autumn harvest at Didko Farm in Voyevodyno<\/h2>\n

And now let's return from the forest and the mountain pastures to Vojvodina. We have a place where the concept of "autumn harvest" can be seen literally - Grandfather's farm<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is here, in cozy beds, that we lovingly grow our own vegetables - from crispy zucchini and juicy beets to fragrant garlic and fresh seasonal herbs. The freshly harvested harvest immediately enters the hands of our chefs. restaurants<\/a>Therefore, the path of many dishes to your plate does not begin from supermarket shelves, but directly from the pure and generous land of Vojvodina.<\/p>\n

And it is in the fall that this story is especially palpable. The beds no longer look the same as in the height of summer. Some vegetables are ending their season, others are being harvested for storage right now. The earth is gradually preparing for a new cycle, and the kitchen receives the last autumn gifts of nature.<\/p>\n

For our guests, this is an opportunity to see a simple thing that is easy to forget in the city: vegetables do not appear in the kitchen by themselves. First there is land, seeds, sun, water, daily work, and only then a rich harvest.<\/p>\n

From the garden to the table<\/h2>\n

For us, Didko Farm is much more than just neat vegetable beds. It is a space where the main idea comes to life: everything we eat comes from the earth, which needs care. We created this place so that every guest could re-experience this magical, yet so simple connection between the generosity of nature, the taste of real food, and human labor.<\/p>\n

Children feel this philosophy especially keenly. For young city dwellers, Didko Farm becomes a real wonderland. Seeing with their own eyes how an orange carrot tail emerges from the ground, where a potato hides, or how fresh parsley smells before it is chopped into a salad is a magical discovery and an unforgettable eco-lesson for them.<\/p>\n

Autumn does not need to be rushed. All it needs is a basket of mushrooms, apples from the garden, the smell of thyme, the soft rustle of leaves underfoot, and a generous table with fragrant Carpathian dishes, with someone to discuss it all with. It is for such simple things that we love the autumn
